Training Scheme

Our Training scheme is open to people from all backgrounds, whether you’re looking for a change in career or just starting out. Our training scheme offers the opportunity to receive high quality training, without the need for a formal qualification. You will receive a blend of classroom-based learning and on-the-job training, with an in-house mentor to help you on the way. You could be fully trained in your chosen field in as little as 6 months, with great career opportunities to follow.

TRAINING SCHEME FAQ’S

An apprenticeship involves attending a college to gain a qualification alongside working whereas our training roles are purely on the job training. Both routes are supported via our in house mentor.

You will be paid the current Living Wage which will increase in line with the particular role after you qualify.

You will be assigned a mentor that will work closely with you often day to day, to monitor your progress and provide general support.

This is dependent on the role but can be from 6 weeks to 2 years.

No there is no eligibility criteria other than the drive to learn and progress in a new skills.

This depends on the role you choose however in all training roles you will gain the skills and knowledge needed for your chosen career and will become a well-established member of the team. Hippo has future growth plans which also provides future promotion opportunities.

I joined Hippo Motor Group straight from leaving school to start an apprenticeship in sales administration. My apprenticeship lasted a year, and I was fully supported by my manager and colleagues throughout. Since passing my apprenticeship, I have progressed into another role within the company and now work in the logistics department which I am enjoying thoroughly. I am hoping to continue my career progression within Hippo and see myself here for many years to come.
