Mission Christmas Success

Throughout December last year, Hippo Motor Group were helping out with the Mission Christmas campaign run by Cash for Kids, by collecting presents and donations for children across the UK.  When we helped out with this campaign last year, it was a huge success, so we wanted to take part in it again.

Cash for Kids covers 21 areas across the UK, and is in partnership with 37 Bauer Radio stations.  Their main aim and focus is on helping disadvantaged and underprivileged children and teenagers living in the UK.  Cash for Kids launched the Mission Christmas campaign, which helps give these children a brighter Christmas, by collecting presents and donations from designated drop-off points throughout the UK.

Hippo Motor Group took part in the Mission Christmas campaign along with many others across the UK, and altogether the charity raised an incredible total of £12.9 million in gifts and cash donations.  This has enabled the charity to support 312,000 children in 21 areas throughout the country, making the campaign a huge success.

But Cash for Kids doesn’t just run Mission Christmas.  The charity works tirelessly throughout the year to help neglected and abused children, and those living in poverty.  Did you know that almost a quarter of UK children are living in poverty?  This equates to roughly 3.7 million children.  This is why the work Cash for Kids does is so incredibly important.

We want to say a big Thank You to everyone who donated gifts or money this year; you helped to make a huge difference to thousands of children this Christmas.  If you didn’t get a chance to help out this Christmas, then you still can.  You can find your local Cash for Kids, and make a one-off or monthly donation.  You can also see what events they have running throughout the year.  Every donation, even a small one, will make a huge difference to making a brighter future for a child living in poverty.
