Hippo Success With ‘Drive For Good’

Back in October, we were once again part of the Drive For Good initiative, which is run by one of our main lenders.  We took part in the Drive For Good campaign last year, where we managed to raise £5,460 which was then donated to Pendleside Hospice.

Drive For Good is an initiative which was set up by one of our main funders, and the campaign aims to raise money for several different charities each year.  Every company who joins the campaign gets to choose a charity to raise donations for.  The Drive For Good campaign has supported over 100 local and national charities this year, which is an incredible achievement.

So for the whole of October, our lender made a very generous donation for every single deal we completed within our company.  We decided that our chosen charity for the campaign would be Pendleside Hospice.  We were excited to have the opportunity to raise money for such a worthy cause, especially after the success we had raising money for them last year through the same campaign.

The Drive for Good campaign has now finished, and we’re pleased to say that the campaign has raised an amazing total of £405,390!  This money will make a huge difference to all the charities involved, and we’re glad to have been able to be part of it.  Out of that total amount, Hippo Motor Group managed to raise a total of £6,480 to give to Pendleside Hospice.  We’re all happy with this success, and know that the money will be put to good use.

The people at Pendleside are highly deserving, and the Hospice has done some fantastic work throughout Burnley and Pendle, and has had a huge impact across East Lancashire.  They help individuals with life-limiting illnesses, and support their families and carers too.  Their aim is to promote the quality of life for these people, providing skilled care for physical, psychological and social wellbeing.

We’re so happy to have been part of such a hugely successful campaign, and we’ll endeavour to take part in it again next year.

Until then, we’ll be helping out as many charities as we can, including doing our part for Mission Christmas. If you’d like to get involved with Mission Christmas, and donate a small gift to a child living in poverty, then you can pop down to our showroom, which is now an official drop-off point.
