We have come to the end of our third quarter and we have such a successful period helping our chosen charities. Our third main charity of the year is Milly’s Smiles. From January to March we raised £600 for Spacious Place and the same amount from April to June for Cancer Help Preston.
As a motor group, we raise our money through each of the cars we sell. We do this through our various brands including Hippo Leasing and Hippo Prestige.
In this last quarter between July and September, we raised another fantastic £600 for Milly’s Smiles. Milly Smiles aims to make the journey for children newly diagnosed with Acute Myleoid Leukemia (AML) a little easier. The team there does this by supplying the parents and children with welcome packs that contains items to make that initial period in hospital easier.
Also in September, we helped two more charities through events such as wearing denim to work to support Jeans for Genes and a Macmillan Coffee morning. Through our Jeans for Genes event, we raised an impressive £125.57.
Many of our staff chose to either bake and buy cakes to support our Macmillan Coffee Morning event and we raised a brilliant £200.
For our final quarter, between October and December, we are supporting Children in Need. Children in Need aim to support and change the lives of disabled children and young people across the UK.
