Leasing Consultant – New Cars & Vans

Hippo Motor Group are looking for ambitious individuals to join our office in Leeds. This role is within a newly established department, within an already successful, commercial sound wider organisation. The successful candidate will have a genuine and broad interest in cars and a familiarity with vehicle finance, particularly in leasing and contract hire.   • Pro-actively selling the features and benefits of vehicle leasing via Hippo.
  • Using consultative sales techniques to appropriately identify customer needs and offering suitable solutions within pre-agreed timescales and KPI.
  • Owning customer relationship from enquiry and escalation past point of sale until vehicle delivery if required
  • Operating in line with Hippo’s framework guidelines and expectations on compliance, data handling and treating customers fairly
  • Using appropriate CRM tools to manage a sales enquiry pipeline, seeking to drive an expected conversion rate above 25%
  • Utilising multiple contact channels (including e-mail, telephone, and live chat) to engage and respond to potential customers.
  • Liaising with key internal contacts and external suppliers to ensure customer offerings are relevant, reporting blockers to sale and customer insights quickly and effectively.
  • 100% achievement of monthly target expected as baseline KPI, targets are challenging but realistic.
  • Achievement of a pre-agreed monthly target, ensuring your leads are contacted and followed up by you within the timescales set against competency expectation.
  • Selling the benefits of Hippo’s customer centricity in the face of competing offers when customers may be hesitant, particularly where competing deals may present similar value in price.
  • Updating CRM system to ensure all customer contact is accurately documented, “if it’s not in the CRM, it didn’t happen” is a mantra and a KPI monitored through weekly quality assurance by management team.
  • Managing customers from enquiry to conversion, building and holding rapport and relationship management to assure customers every step of the way that they are in safe (the best of) hands, taking ownership of escalated problems arising at the after-sale stage as needed.
  • Cross-selling available models and introduction of value-add products (maintenance packages/insurance where relevant)
  • Challenging competitor pricing to ensure customers perceptions are accurate, and deals are truly ‘like for like’.
  • Supporting the group goals of capturing every available opportunity, via (where appropriate) cross-introduction of used car or other Hippo products to enable maximisation of enquiry potential.
  • Gain and continually refresh knowledge of the wider automotive and PCH marketplace. Taking a genuine interest in manufacturers latest releases and sharing knowledge with the wider team
  • Always follow Hippo’s operational framework guidelines across areas of compliance, best practice and accurate, in line with all points above, managing expectations (internal and external) is key customer vulnerability – each are key competency areas for your role.
  • Ensuring accuracy of all quotations and information supplied around vehicle lead times and specifications is 100%
