Social Media Manager

As part of our commitment to building a strong UK-wide following, we are looking for a bright and enthusiastic person to take on the role of Social Media Manager. The role sits within the marketing team and will report directly to the Digital Marketing Manager. The role includes presenting social media across the organisation and driving engagement across a variety of channels. Your social media strategy will incite awareness, interest, action, and acquisition.

Hippo is a successful, family-run business which sells over 550 vehicles a month to customers based throughout the UK.   • Strategically devise Hippo’s social media strategy setting KPIs against each brand
  • To effectively plan content across all respective platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram
  • Create, build & grow a TikTok account
  • To proactively run paid advertising across core social channels managing budgets of £20,000 per month
  • To post content and moderate appropriately, or where relevant
  • Be a brand ambassador – always maintaining the brand’s integrity and adhering to FCA compliance regulations
  • A proactive approach to start and join conversations
  • Bring imaginative ideas and use initiative
  • Produce weekly and monthly reports for senior leadership, with clear actionable takeaways and recommendations for growth

The Social Media Manager will be flexible as there will be changes in emphasis of duties as required from time to time.

  • Extensive experience of social media management and moderation, including social reporting tools
  • Proven ability to work alongside all teams within a company, to use social to represent all activity
  • Ability to self-manage own workload
  • Attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work is essential
  • It would be advantageous to have writing experience
