Sales Manager – Manchester

At Hippo Motor Group we have a close team of driven, enthusiastic, and committed Sales Executives who develop and maintain excellent relationships with all our customers. Whether it is a small City Car or a Luxury Prestige Car, our team’s aim is to ensure every customer receives first class service. As a result of our growth, Hippo is constantly developing and expanding which is why we’re recruiting a Sales Manager to effectively manage 1 of our teams. We currently have 75 sales staff, you will manage a team of 11 to ensure they achieve consistent results, stay motivated, remain positive and overachieve!

  • To achieve sales targets by assisting your team in all aspects of the sales process.
  • To offer your team direction and motivation that in turn allows the company to meet its objectives.
  • Manage/monitor our CRM system and enquiries to ensure the work flow is managed effectively in order to maximize each opportunity.
  • Ensure the staff are maintaining the minimal work performance standards and indicators that will help them achieve their targets. For example, calls, proposals, conversions.
  • To be proactively involved with deal making
  • To be proactively involved in closing deals
  • To utilise all our resources for a result. I.e. Best use of stock and funders
  • To follow up on approved deals that are not going ahead
  • To follow up on lost opportunities
  • To ensure the PPU is maintained
  • To ensure accessory targets are met
  • To be proactive in training the staff with any shortfalls of performance
  • To also ensure Team Members are following all Company rules and processes, adhering to all compliances and managing the Staff to operate within the FCA guidelines.
  • To be involved in the general day to day running with assisting in maintaining the Companies high standards and Customer retention.
  • Interview, hire and build your team with full support of our in-house recruiter
  • To keep records of staff holidays and absence.
  • Previous experience as Manager in sales
  • Excellent Leadership Skills
  • High standard of communication skills
  • Ability to drive and motivate a team of 10 or more sales staff
  • Previous track record of target achievement
