ECommerce Manager

One of the country’s largest motor trade organisations, Hippo Motor Group, is currently recruiting for an experienced Ecommerce Manager to work closely with the Head of Marketing and the marketing team. We are a trailblazing, award-winning company, operating in the thriving automotive business community of Lancashire.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for devising and delivering the ecommerce strategy for a rapidly growing business using a combination of agency and in-house resources. This role initially involves management of three full time members of staff however this number is set to grow in the near future based on the recommendations of the ecommerce manager.

You will get credit for your results in a monthly performance-based bonus.

What we’ll need you to do:

  • Manage five websites for Hippo Motor Group.
  • Responsible for a team of three.
  • Oversee the visual merchandising of the website.
  • Design and implement the trading and promotional calendar.
  • Create CRO and UX roadmap with the assistance of specialist agencies.
  • Report on website and commercial metrics.
  • Drive the business to deliver on annual conversion rate, lead generation, and revenue targets and other KPIs.
  • Visual merchandising to present the correct deals to the correct customers.
  • Monitor product performance to ensure product category and search pages are optimised.
  • Support the Buying and New Car team in the product and deal strategy.
  • Ensure that the website is kept up to date with seasonally relevant product, banner, product and content.
  • Manage the production of copy, photography and video for the websites and social platforms.
  • Responsible for social engagement and reach.
  • Develop and implement cross-selling strategies to increase site revenue.
