Due to massive company success and expansion Hippo Motor Group are recruiting for an additional team to join our State-of-the-Art Body Shop to work a new shift pattern. With sales increasing, we are currently selling over 550 vehicles per month and foresee this continuing to increase. In order to facilitate this, we are implementing an additional shift in the Bodyshop which is likely to be 3.00pm-11.30pm 4 days a week. We are looking for Painters, Preppers, Panel Beaters and an MET technician and require individuals with previous experience in these roles. Hippo specialises in used cars meaning our Bodyshop Technicians conduct cosmetic repair and ensure all vehicles are in line with our standards. Our Bodyshop is the first in the UK to have installed the complete Symac production line and this provides an amazing and exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to be part of as well as working in the first state of the art body shop.

Scope for development is available within this role and is rewarded with a strong annual salary and overtime.

Ensure all our used vehicles are refinished to a high standard before being delivered to our customers
Work in line with our BVRLA approved fair wear and tear guidelines
To be able to carry out smart repairs (preferable)
To be fully conversant with water based refinishing systems

Carry out all panel repair work on all makes of vehicles

Repair minor damage to panels
Strip and fit panel and trims

Key Responsibilities (MET Technician)

Strip and fit damaged panels, interior trim and minor mechanical/Electrical parts
Repair a wide range of vehicles
Previous experience is essential

Relevant qualification in Body shop paint procedures
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
Full and valid UK driving licence
